The Model MC evaporative condenser is a solidly built unit constructed to provide many years of durable, reliable operation with minimal maintenance. Quality materials and workmanship are a key factor in achieving this goal. All units are completely factory assembled and tested to ensure quick and easy installation with no start-up problems. By utilizing the superior properties of copper, the MC evaporative condenser becomes the most cost effective solution for commercial freon condensing projects.
Operation
Recold’s MC evaporative condenser utilizes the efficiency of evaporative cooling along with the excellent heat transfer and corrosion resistance properties of copper. Hot refrigerant vapor travels through the interior of the copper coil, while cold water is atomized on the outside of the coil. Fresh air is pulled up over the outside of the coil, while cold water is sprayed down over the coil in an efficient countflow system. Heat from the refrigerant is transferred to the spray water, causing the refrigerant to condense from a gas to a liquid. Heat from the spray water is dissipated to the atmosphere by evaporating the spray water.
The LC evaporative condenser model is equipped with an induced draft fan and is covered by several binding patents. Thanks to its design, it enables a reduction in Freon charge of about 40% compared with standard condensers and a reduction in electricity consumption of up to 50%. Easy installation and service are the advantages of this solution.
