Before entering the heat exchanger, the air is cooled by spraying water through nozzles. The temperature of the entering air is lowered, depending on the moisture content of the air. The SPRAY system lowers the temperature by approx. 5°K

Characteristic

  • Hydrophilic coating of aluminum fins: weakens the surface tension of water and accelerates the formation of a thin layer of water on the fins.
  • Control box (IP65 degree of protection) factory mounted on the unit and equipped with electronic control.
  • Solenoid valves for main water inlet and drain.
  • Thermostat to control system draining during cold seasons.
  • Pressure regulator and manometer, pressure switch.
  • Water filter.
  • SOFTWATER device to prevent scale build-up on fins.
  • Sparge system pre-installed in the unit and made of 25mm UV resistant multilayer tubes with atomizing nozzles.
Adavantages
  • The unit can be selected to suit a design air inlet temperature that is significantly lower than the ambient temperature (TCALC << TAMB) (see psychrometric chart example).
  • A smaller sized unit with a smaller heat transfer surface may be selected.
  • This device can be used to cool the liquid to a temperature lower than the ambient temperature.
  • The industrial adiabatic system in combination with electronic switching fans “EC”, PLC “Intelliboard” or speed controller, reduces energy consumption, sound emission level and optimizes water consumption.
  • No risk of legionella contamination.
